I am experimenting with more story line items now. It’s easy to have Max as the “innocent antagonizer.” This story line is how things usually work out in my household.
Shannon and I spent last night (Valentine’s Day) in The Cities. As a gift I got a new lamp that is incandescent AND florescent; it’s supposed to be the closest thing to sunlight possible. However you want to put it lights up the entire basement it’s so bright!
It’s awesome, I love it.
I have finished the penciling work for April and have scanned in, organized and started inking for the two months. The new system of getting them done seems to be going well, though Shannon says I am getting faster, I can’t tell if its me or just that I am excited about this other project that I need to get all of the current cartoons “pumped out” for before I can start it.
The reason for all this rush is that I have many projects that need to get done before Spring Con in a couple of months and I am working ahead of my normal time line so I can afford to give these other projects some quality time.
Valentine cards went out yesterday to the bus, the kids love them. Several have special holders for their cards and bring them on the bus to organize them like the others kids do. The older kids like them too, while they are WAT to cool for them, NO ONE turns down the invitation for one and I have gotten many remarks from parents that these are a good way to mark different points of their school year. Next year I may change the subject of the cards to something else with a school them, like kids waiting at a Bus Stop but, for now The Bus has been pretty popular.
Finally, the last time I posted, I stated that I was in the middle of drawing and had to keep telling myself to “just keep drawing, just keep drawing.” For those of you that are NOT familiar with Disney’s “Finding Nemo” it is a quote from one of the movie characters who is “not all right upstairs,” if you catch my drift. Well I received some “fan work” that I wanted to share with all of you my friend Eric, who has been practicing his “photo editing” skills sent me this and I had to put it up. Thanks Eric, I feel MUCH better!
Random Question:
What’s the strangest thing you’ve overheard in public?
Post your answers below.

I can’t remember specific words but, generally when there are children doing the speaking, it can get pretty interesting

Love the photo Eric! Funny how the yellow on her is the same color as Bud’s hair!
You can not keep giving me these questions I can not answer without getting you put in jail…..
Ya know Stitch, you COULD go in the OPPOSITE direction and answer with something that WOULDN’T put you in jail? You would be missed.
The Random Question & Eric’s picture do remind me of a Friday night at Sneakers in Spring Valley, WI. We were sitting by a large fish tank that had a clown fish, amongst other sea creatures, when an adorable little girl ran up to the tank, put both hands on it and said, “Nemo, it’s me!” This spawned a cartoon later about us eating fish while looking at the fish tank … Perhaps Sketch will repost it?
